I am an Illustrator, Brand Designer, Production Artist, and Instructional Designer with 15 years of diverse art, design, and communication experience. I have produced digital, print and video publications for a range of audiences with millions of viewers. Originally from rural North Carolina, where I have come to reside today, I attended NCSU’s College of Design. In University I held a 3 year design internship with the leading instructional design team, DELTA. I went on to produce illustrations and designs for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. Politics aside, this was a turning point for my creative, production, and organizational processes. Much of my work lived on as hundreds of thousands of copies of newsprint, fliers, etc. Soon after, a rare opportunity brought me to Colorado to be the lead graphic designer and brand merchandiser for a 1 million+ viewer YouTube channel. One tee shirt campaign during my tenure netted the company $40k in just 10 days. I inevitably ended up in front of the camera doing my own Bob Ross style instructional painting series that entertained hundreds of thousands of viewers over its run. Currently, I run my own small branding studio while studying and practicing Blender 3D in my free time. Blender is an amazing free and open source software that I am very passionate about which enables anyone to pursue art making. My goal is to add this robust production tool to my workflow to offer endless possibilities with graphic designs, illustrations, animations, and architectural renderings.
